Relief Without Borders Donates Model UN Funds to Uganda

In 2021, Model United Nations (MUN) selected Relief Without Borders as their charity of choice to form a philanthropic partnership across multiple programs and prestigious conferences. Together, Georgetown International Relations Association’s (GIRA) and students from Boston University’s 21st Invitational Model UN conference, the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) and the National Collegiate Security Conference (NCSC) raised over $18,000 for Restore Leadership Academy in Uganda.

“We endeavor to teach the future doctors, lawyers, educators and leaders in this country.”

-Jody Luke, Executive Director of Love Does

Restore Leadership Academy, founded by our fellow organization, Love Does, was created so that the children of Uganda had a fighting chance at success. RLA continues to grow, now being a home to hundreds of students and staff and ranks as one of the top schools in Northern Uganda for its academic performance and sports teams. The money raised by the Model UN will go towards providing educational supplies and support to RLA and its endeavors.

Thank you Model UN for choosing Relief Without Borders for your philanthropic partnership 2021-2022 and thank you to the following conferences, NCSC, Naimun LIX & Bosmun XXI.
